I decided to pass, at least this for the first round of "Guest" Chefs. I barely know how to write erotica. And I don't know how good I can do with 25 days of writing. My WC per day not near 1 k yet.

Mike
I'd have a go, but I know now I'm no where near ready.

Ah hah! I was wondering who else she roped into this!

That's a perfect review of erotica in general and EalC in partiuclar. Pip's taken my breath away with each episode, though I must admit my favorite so far has been Measureless to Man, simply because I've long been in love with Coleridge.

Thanks for the article, Tee -- and damn you for beating me to it! Bloody uber-nemesis... ;-)

Thanks for your thoughts Tee.
I know what you mean about erotica. I went through a phase of reading it in my late teens/early twenties. And then I found it largely repetative. It was nearly always the sex first and the characterisation and the plot lagging far behind. (Though I am sure there are exceptions)
I think erotica is always sexier with characters you love- that way you care about them when they get their 'thang' on. I look at EalC as about the characters first, the sex second. (thought don't get me wrong, the sex is damn fun to write). I think of these more as STORIES, just one where I don't have the need to close the bedroom door. So they should have all the elements and care of any other story in them.
I have to admit this whole EalC thing was a huge experiment. I haven't promoted it much yet because I just wasn't sure how it would turn out. Would I end up with egg on my face, or not?
However the format has proved to be both challengining and a source of inspiration. It's like performance art that you strive to preform to the best of your ability. I know you will find it so when it is YOUR turn to cook. ;-)
I don't know how long the kitchen will be open, but I am enjoying it while it is...

There is NO WAY I'd miss that episode - since I think MOREVI has a very sexy feel to it, it'd be extremely interesting to see what happens if you take it that one step further.

Waiting intently from halfway 'round the globe... :)

I agree with you on the whole erotica thing. It entertained me at first, then cheesey romance novels sort of botched it. Pip's podcast is making me like it again, and has me pining away for the next episode (can't wait for the Christmas special!) I'd like to hear a short story from you, I'm fairly certain of your abilities as a writer that you can pull it off very well. Just don't let Pip intimidate you (Just admit it. There's no denying it, you KNOW she does. Dark Goddess and all that :D)
